Arline Stanton

Arline Stanton, 79, of Dover and a former North Canton resident died Monday, April 3, 2006 at her home following an extended illness.

She had worked at Mercy Hospital in Canton for many years.

Born September 9, 1926 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Tschantz Shull Sr.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in North Canton and was a graduate of Mercy School of Nursing.

Arline was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanton who died in 1988.

She is survived by a son, Keith Stanton of Canton; brother, Tom (Esther) Ayers of Dover; three sisters, Shirley Shull of Dover, Evelyn Ditto of New Philadelphia and Roberta (Ralph) Ford of Newark; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special thank you to Ed and Carol Ditto.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Stanton; sister, Virginia Jameson and brother, Robert Shull Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Don Richards officiating. Interment will be in the St. Jacobs Cemetery at North Canton. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
