Arlene R. "Leeny" Reed

March 20, 1924 — February 10, 2019

Arlene R. “Leeny” Reed, 94, of Dover passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, February 10, 2019, at Park Village Healthcare Center in Dover.

Born in Ragersville, Ohio on March 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Homer M. and Katherine (Huprich) Breniser.

She married Cletus “Dick” Reed on March 18, 1948. Dick preceded her in death on January 6, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Sylvanus and Carl Breniser, and her sister, Doris Carnes.

Arlene worked for the Garver Brothers Store in Strasburg for over 28 years. She also worked for the Times Reporter for over 15 years. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg and the Senior Citizens of Dover.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In honoring Arlene’s wishes, a graveside service will take place at Ft. Laurens Cemetery in Bolivar on Thursday, February, 14, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeff Shultz officiating. A meal will follow in the Famous Endings Museum which is located at the Toland-HerzIg Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover.
