Annabell Gibson, 81, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, in the New Dawn Retirement Community, Dover.

Born Aug. 1, 1924, in Lost Creek, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Mattie Wright Weekley. Annabell was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed doing all of the things that help make a rich home and family environment. She was also employed as a nurses�(TM) aide at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita Gibson of New Philadelphia; a son, Warren (Mary Beth) Gibson of Youngstown; two grandchildren (and one on the way); two brothers, Charles (Sue) Weekley of Canton, and William (Florence) Weekley of Smithville, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Lela Weekley of West Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Gibson, in 1976; a sister and three brothers.

A graveside service, open to the public, will be held Friday (today), Aug. 12, at 1:30 p.m., in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, with Pastor Jim Mason of the Sugarcreek Free Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be private.
