Anna Marie Contini

Anna Marie Contini, 91, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in the Hospice House at New Philadelphia.

Anna retired from Alsco and had also worked at Dover Appliance Co and Dover Sad Iron Co. during her career.

Born December 25, 1920 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Ghezzi Contini. Anna was also preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Schiavone, Antonette DeRosario, Lucille DuVall, Concepta "Connie" Contini and Florence "Flossie" Amicone and five brothers, Daniel "Jack", Michael, Patrick, Lawrence and Joseph Contini.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Senior Citizens group. Anna was an avid Central Catholic fan who attended almost every high school sporting event and also enjoyed playing bingo.

Anna is survived by her sister, Catherine Warner of Dover and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Matt Hoover officiating. Interment of the ashes will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
