Anna Mae Penrod

Anna Mae Penrod, 78, of Dover, Ohio died Thursday, July 22, 1999 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

She was a cook for the Park Village Health Care Center and the former Dover Nursing Center for many years.

Born August 14, 1920 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ann Dummermuth Wendling.

She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Dover and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Anna Mae is survived by her husband Lester S. Penrod with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage Nov. 20.

Two daughters  JoAnn Hoover and Lola Hoover both of Dover

Three grandchildren  Steve (Emily) Hoover, Chris (Connie) Hoover and B.J. Hoover

Four great grandchildren  Jeff, Jason, Jennifer, and Andy Hoover

She was preceded in death by one grandson, four sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 26, 1999 at 11:00 AM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating.  Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park.   Friends can call at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. John’s United Church of Christ (Organ Fund) at Dover.
