Ada M. Myers

Ada M. Myers, 84, of Strasburg, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in Park Village Health Care Center, Dover.

Born, June 17, 1925, in Bolivar, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Anola Maurer Widder. Ada graduated from Bolivar High School, and was employed by Sparta Manufacturing Co. before her marriage to Walter F. "Buzz" Myers on August 17, 1946. She was a loving homemaker, devoted to her family, and a faithful member of Strasburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Myers of Strasburg; four sons, Timothy (Londa) Myers and Frank Myers, both of Strasburg, Sidney (Deborah) Myers of Dundee, and Perry Myers of Sugarcreek; twelve grandchildren; twenty-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Finzer of Sugarcreek, Thelma Morrison of Bolivar, and Alice Cappelli of Florida; a sister-in-law, Maxine Myers of Beach City; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buzz, on March 4, 1987; two sisters, Clara Mae VanFossen and Bea Levengood; three brothers, Donald, Harold and Ronald Widder; and by a daughter-in-law, Jenny Myers.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 31, at 11 a.m., in the Strasburg United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lynda K. Masters officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Union Cemetery, Strasburg. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon at the church. Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 803 N.
