My Friend Pet Crematory

My Friend Pet Crematory

"Pets have just always played an important part in my family's life. I think that most folks feel like I do, that your pet is not just a cat or dog - it's a member of your family. We understand, and offer this service to area families."

- John R. Herzig

All pet cremations are $170, which includes a wooden urn.

The death of a beloved family pet is a traumatic event, and it is natural and necessary to grieve the loss as it is for any loved one who has died. At Toland-Herzig, we are pet lovers, many of us are "pet parents" ourselves and we understand the bond that exists between pets and people. That is why we offer this special service.

When the time comes, we can help arrange for the transfer of your deceased pet from your home or veterinarian's office, treating each animal companion with care and respect. Whenever possible, a pawprint is made and a clipping of hair taken for family keepsakes. All pet cremations are accomplished individually through our own pet crematory by certified crematory operators using stringent documentation and tracking procedures. You are assured of receiving the true remains of your beloved companion.

Call us, or ask your veterinarian to call us, and make your wishes known. If so desired, pet parents may have private time to say goodbye at our Dover funeral home. We do our very best to return pets' cremated remains in a timely manner. A finely-made wooden urn is included in our basic fee. We also have a large selection of other urns and pet memorial products available.

*Other fees may apply relative to residence transfers, longer distances traveled and service requested outside of the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
