Mark E. Locker, 65, of Dover died Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at Union Hospital following an extended illness.

Mark was a custom homebuilder and operated the former Locker Construction Company in Dover. He had previously managed Carter Lumber Companies in North Carolina.

Born March 8, 1951 in Dover, he was the son of Ruth (Ellis) Locker of Dover and the late Clem Locker.

He was a 1969 graduate of Dover High School and attended the University of Akron. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed golfing and was previously a girls softball coach in North Carolina.

In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his brother, Gary Locker of Dover.

At Mark's request, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover and private graveside services will be held at a later date in the Dover Burial Park.
