Wilma L. Dummermuth, 86, of Dover died Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born October 5, 1931 in Sand Fork, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late I.W. and Mary Barker Canfield. Wilma was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hamric.

Wilma was an active member of the New Philadelphia Church of Christ where she taught Bible Class for over 50 years, and she taught crafts at the Christian Youth Camp. She loved taking pictures, and was the official family photographer and photo album maker. Wilma enjoyed collecting antiques, traveling and was well known for sending greeting cards to her family and friends for special occasions.

Wilma is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dean Dummermuth, whom she married on May 16, 1954; children, Sherri (Tim) Shuman of Baltic, Terri (Andrew) Jaynes of New Mexico, Tim (Janet) Dummermuth of Sugarcreek; sisters, Patsey Bell of Tennessee, Beverly (Dave) Montgomery of West Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew (Jamie) and Kyle (Maddy) Shuman, Lucas and Carly Dummermuth and three great grandchildren, Reece, Tyson and Nora Shuman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Tim Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Wilma may do so by visiting the online obituaries link on the funeral home’s website.
