Obituary for Wanda L. Linard

Wanda L. Linard, 86, of New Philadelphia, died at her home on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in her favorite chair.

Born May 23, 1931 in New Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Myrtle Cook Sayre. Wanda was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. “Bill” Linard in 1998; brothers, Veral and Roy Turney and sister, Dora Richardson.

Wanda was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Senior Club. She was also a member of the Red Hats, and in her spare time, loved bowling.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Wanda will be sadly missed by her children, William Linard, Roger Linard both of Dover, Mark (Lori) Linard of Uhrichsville; brother, Joseph (Millie) Sayre of Dover; sister, Carol Fantine of New Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor John Long officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 pm.
