Toni J. May

Toni J. May, 71, of Dover passed away early Sunday morning, , October 15, 2017 at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover.


Born on March 21, 1946 in Dover, she was the daughter of late William and Wilma (Jarvis) Levengood. She married Charles “Chuck” May, whom she was married for 36 years before he passed away on October 9, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her father.


Toni graduated with the class of 1964 from Dover High School. She worked at the Genie Company in Baltic. She also worked at the former Handy & Harmon for over 17 years. She was an active member at Faith United Methodist Church in Dover. She loved watching her grandchildren at their sporting events and band competitions.


She will be sadly missed by her mother and best friend; Wilma Levengood of Dover; two children; Paul (Heather) May of New Philadelphia, Sandi (Paul) Rektor of Dover; three grandchildren, Dugan May, Baron May, and McKenzie Rektor; and her brother, William (Sharon) Levengood of Strasburg.


Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 1-3pm. A celebration of Toni’s life will take place at the funeral home at the end of calling hours at 3pm with Pastor Shelly Nordine officiating.
