Oveda E. Harding

Oveda E. Harding, age 85, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, in the New Dawn Retirement Community, Dover.

Born April 30, 1933, in Conesville, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Zola Maple Hardesty. Oveda attended school in Coshocton, and married H. Wayne Harding on October 13, 1967; Wayne passed away on March 25, 2017. Oveda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and was employed by New Dawn for a number of years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and playing bingo.

Survivors include her children, Lucinda “Cindy” Septer, Connie (Mike) Woolf and William “Mike” Hoagland, all of New Philadelphia; her son-in-law, David Stevens, also of New Philadelphia; her step-children; her grandchildren, Troy (Courtney) Septer, Tiffiny (Steve) Gibb, Donnie (Brie) and Chris Gilmore, Michelle, Michael, Christopher and Jennifer Hoagland, and Angie (Dan) Armstrong; her step-grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, and her husband Wayne, Oveda was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Stevens; her grandson, Bill Stevens; a step-daughter; and her sister, Philis Vosick.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 11, at 2 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Andrew Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Wednesday, 1 - 2 p.m.
