Obituary for Olive P. Russell

Olive P. Russell, 89, of Dover died Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the New Dawn Retirement Center.

Born February 6, 1928 in Washington, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late David and Mary Flaherty Anderson. Olive was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer A. Russell, on July 16, 1976; son, Edward McGuire; brother, Leonard and sisters, Gertrude, Goldie and Mary.

Olive was a member of the Newcomerstown Church of Christ and the Newcomerstown Senior Center. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and playing bingo.

Olive is survived by her children, Shirley (Johnny) Espenschied of Dover, Marilyn Addleman of Newcomerstown; siblings, Wayne (Betty) Anderson of Florida, Grace Maxhimer of Springfield, Ruth Menefee-Cadle of New Philadelphia, Alice Moore of Dover, Viola Esther Reames of Tennessee, Loretta Hartman of Canton, Lucille Espenschied of Arkansas; grandchildren, Tiffany, Amanda, Jessica, Angel, Nichole, Jeri, Edward, Tamara; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Charles Newell officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2 pm.
