Matthew J. Plotts

Matthew J. Plotts, 60, of Dover died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 19, 1956 in Uhrichsville he was a son of the late Vernon and Gloria Tolloty Plotts. Matt was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Plotts.

He was employed at TTI Floor Care in North Canton for over 39 years. Matt was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the New Philadelphia Elks. In his spare time, he enjoyed writing, riding his bike and golfing, especially with his friends of the Hack Attack Golf Association.

A wonderful and loving husband, father and uncle, Matt will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Pam Smalley Plotts whom he married on July 17, 1976; children, Cory Plotts and his girlfriend, Beth Reppermund of Cleveland, Nikki Plotts of Nashville; twin brother, Mark (Holly) Plotts of New Philadelphia; many nieces and nephews, including, Rochelle (Eric) Seibert, Daniel (Nikki) Grove, Jeffrey (Torie) Grove, Lucas (Juli) Grove, Jarrod (Ashlee) Plotts, Jason Milburn, Stephanie Plotts, Stephen Plotts and Alan (Liz) Plotts.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Following the mass, a luncheon will be held in the Family Life Center.
