Mary Brown

Mary Brown, age 73, of New Philadelphia (Midvale), passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, in Community Hospice’s Truman House. Her final words to her family were, “I want to go fishing with my grandson and sit on a rock and drink some beer.”

Mary was born October 28, 1943 in Marion, the daughter of the late George and Mary Virginia Deem Koleman. She attended school in East Liverpool and worked for years as a health care aide. Mary loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was fond of animals and caring for them. She enjoyed playing bingo, going dancing and, of course, fishing.

Survivors include her children, Ricky Brown and Kelly (Larry Buick) Brown, both of Newcomerstown, Denny Baumgarner and Cindy Brown, both of New Philadelphia, Joe (Tammy) Baumgarner of Strasburg, and Robert (Krisna Mack) Brown of Cleveland; her twenty grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary’s grandson and brother preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 8, at 2 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a luncheon in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
