Fred W. Hinerman Sr.

Fred W. Hinerman Sr., 59, of Strasburg passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Cleveland Clinic following a sudden illness.

Born September 18, 1958 in Dover, he was the son of the late Norman “Bud” and Julia (Menges) Hinerman. He attended Dover High School. He joined the United States Army while he was in high school. He worked at Buckeye Oil Producing for many years, and was recently working at A.R.E Truck Caps in Strasburg.

Fred was a member of the Somerdale Marinatha Bible Church. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his son; Fred (Courtney) Hinerman Jr. of Dover; daughter, Katie Hinerman of Dover; former wife, Connie Hinerman of Dover; four grandchildren, Michael, Pressleigh, Liam, Aleigha and he was expecting a fifth grandchild in November; along with two sisters, Beth Leatherman of Strasburg, and Brenda Hinerman of New Philadelphia.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1:00pm with Pastor Dick Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
