Born December 30, 1926, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Ralph and Sylvia Border. After serving in the U.S. Army as a radio communications specialist during World War II, Clifford moved to Canton, Ohio, where he met his beloved wife of 61 years, Naomi Ruth Hamilton, who preceded him in death last September. Together they moved to Dover and founded TV Specialties in 1958.

He is survived by his son Jeffrey (Susan) Border, daughters, Shelley (Donald) Detore, Diana (Michael) Barnett, and Jennifer (Michael) Mulvaney; grandchildren Elizabeth (Dennis) Klingensmith, Laura (Mickey) Fenn, Joseph Detore, Taylor, Chloe, and Claire Barnett, and Emma and Owen Mulvaney; five great-grandchildren; his brother Clyde Border, and sisters Leola Lindsay and Loris Hutchinson.

Clifford was a hard-working family man who was the owner and operator of TV Specialties until the age of 83. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love of his family, the outdoors, and travel, which included many wonderful vacations.
