Bret W. Preston

Bret W. Preston, 57, of Uhrichsville passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Union Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born on November 11, 1960 in Uhrichsville, he was the son of the late Charles “Chuck” and Irene (Stull) Preston. He was also preceded in death by his father in-law, Dean Brick, and his dearly loved dogs, Pete and Ginger.

He will be sadly missed by his former wife, Vikki Brick of New Philadelphia, who was his best friend and caregiver. He also leaves behind his sister; Jan (Tim) Hershberger of Rittman, Ohio; brother, Darrin Preston of Uhrichsville; mother in-law, Wilma Brick of Dover; longtime friend, Steve Kyle of New Philadelphia; along with many nieces and nephews.

He attended Claymont High School and Buckeye Career Center, where he graduated in 1978. Bret worked for Stone Container in Coshocton for 10 years. He also worked 18 years at Amko Testing and loved traveling the world for his job.

Bret also loved traveling with Vikki and going scuba diving in the Caribbean Islands. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Fat Boy. He was a great storyteller and loved making people laugh.
