Tricia Hergiz-McKinnon became a full time apprentice at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory upon graduating Cum Laude from mortuary school (Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science) in March of 2005. Tricia is the fourth generation to join her family business as a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer. While at Cincinnati, she served her class as the Class Representative and the Vice President and Secretary of the Delta Gamma Pi Sorority. She received the honor of the Ohio Funeral Director Association leadership Award and was granted the Doric Vault Company Scholarship. Her apprenticeship will be completed in March of 2006. Tricia is a 2003 graduate of Ashland University and a graduate in Dover High School's class of 1999.
Tricia has already become a familiar face in the community as the current secretary for Main Street New Philadelphia. She is also a member of the 2005 class of Leadership Tuscarawas.
In addition to meeting with families, Tricia also works closely with Todd Little in the development and implementation of many of Toland-Herzig's LIFE Series programs.
She and her husband, Joel G. McKinnon reside in Dover. They were married on December 27, 2003.
