John "JD" is a 1986 graduate of Strasburg High School and four years later graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. JD joined the staff at Toland-Herzig in October of 1994 where he is Director of Pre-Planning for the funeral home and crematory.
Over the past several years, John has time and again been recognized as one of the nation's leading producers with Monumental Life. In addition to induction into Monumental's prestigious "President's Circle," John was also a featured presenter at the company's 2003 annual conference.
He has also gained acclaim for his presentation, "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Funeral Pre-Planning but Were Afraid to Ask."
He was the first licensed funeral director in Tuscarawas County to have earned the designation of Certified Pre-planning Consultant from the Funeral Service Foundation. Presently, JD is president of the Tri-County Funeral Directors Association.
JD and his wife Dawn have two sons, Joseph and Stephen, and reside in Strasburg. |
